Customer support for immediate plan downgrade

    Hello,

    I would like to downgrade my plan immediately to premium because of a mistake but I’m being redirected to customer support to do it. I already contacted them 4 days ago. Does anyone know how long should I expect to wait to get an answer?

    I’m a little disapointed that I can’t do it myself and now have to wait for that. This is unfortunate.

    Downgrading from the Business Plan to a lower plan is possible, but it can be tricky because any plugins or 3rd party themes you have activated will also be removed; it is only possible to run those if your site is on the Business Plan or higher.

    I do not see that you added any 3rd party themes or plugins, so I do not foresee any issues. Do you wish to preserve the existing contents of your site? Or do you wish to also use this as an opportunity to remove existing content and start fresh under the Premium Plan?

    Hello,

    I wish to keep the existing content of my website. I knew there wouldn’t be any issues because I don’t think I have used any features of the business plan. So only downgrading to Premium is fine.

    Thank you for confirming the downgrade. The downgrade process can take time. We will need to work on this outside of chat and contact you later once things are complete. The site will be set to private during the downgrade process. You will be able to set the site to Public or Coming Soon mode later. Please do not make any changes to the site until we have confirmed the downgrade is complete.

    I’m following up to let you know that the downgrade from Business to your new plan is complete.

    I checked to make sure all your posts, pages, and media are still there, but please take a moment to also verify your site’s contents, and don’t hesitate to let us know if you’re missing anything.

    Your site is also currently set to private, to give you a chance to review it after the downgrade and make sure it looks how you’d like, before the general public can see it again. The site’s privacy setting can be changed to “Public” again (or “Coming Soon” if you prefer) under Settings > General, in the Privacy section.

    Hello,

    It worked, thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it a lot. I just had to select the correct domain name again to remove the .wordpress at the end.

    I have two last questions now please. The first is when I will get refunded because of the downgrade.

    For the second, I don’t have ftp access now, so I would please need your help to completely reset the theme “StartFit”. I made mistakes that I can’t fix but sort of fixed them before by renaming the theme folder via ftp and by creating a new one via the dashboard.

    Those mistakes came back after the downgrade. If it means I lose the content of the site, it’s okay, I can do it again. But keeping the domain name is very important to me.

    I haven’t received any email though. And even if I had more inquiries, to what address do I respond to? Getting an answer is very important for me and pretty urgent actually. This topic was the medium used to solve my problems from the start, so I would really appreciate if that could stay the case please. I felt my issues were completely dismissed just now.

    Resetting the theme and knowing when I can be refunded could both be answered here.
