customer text colour

    I do not seem to be able to input the colour code I need. it used to be simple: I typed in the code and voila. Why is this option no longer available? Not impressed. Sorry.

    Hi There,

    Could you please provide more details where exactly you are trying to input the color code and the URL of the website and the post you want to apply?

    Hi Divyaab,

    Colour (settings in editor)>Text Colour>Custom Colour. I click on the icon to the right of # and I am now allowed to amend it but it amends the whole sentence and not just the word I have highlighted.

    Hyperlink: Highlight>text> click icon to the right of # but nothing happens. It somehow copies what is in the text box of #.

    Also, once I have set the link up, and hover over it a square with the image of the page linked comes up and I am no longer able to access the Highlight etc. menu.

    Thanks for providing more details.

    I tried to change the color code for a single word and it is working fine for me. Just select that particular word and click on the above icon shown in the below screenshot and select the highlight option. There you can use your custom color code after #.

    @wmconcierge     I skimmed the draft that was last edited, and did not find any text in a different color except a few links. Can you let us know what word or phrase you tried to highlight?

    Dear Divyaab and Supernovia, thank you for following up my query.

    Divyaab, it was exactly what I was doing but did not allow me to change anything (under highlight) so I used the settings (to the right) but it changed the colour to the whole sentence.

    Supernovia, I do not think it only applied to specific words/sentences.

    Divyaab, maybe you can teach me how to create a link to the print screen as I have one but I am unable to attach it now as a picture. I am not a developer :-)

    I have gone back to the draft and gone through the same steps and all seems working now. The picture synopsis of the link is no longer overlapping the menu. WordPress team, thank you for updating it.

    I will be more than happy to help you. You don’t need to be a developer for this and it is very easy :)
    If you want to take a screenshot in future, you can upload in the media library and share with staff or you can use third-party services like Snipboard.io,Droplr to upload.
