Customers unable to reset their password to log in o their accounts

  Hi, I have a website where my customers are able to log in to their account, check their orders etc. Recently, if a customer has forgotten their password and they try to reset it by clicking on Forgot password, they are asked to enter their e-mail address for a password reset. When they click on New Password a new page open up that states the following:
  The email could not be sent.
  Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function

  I have gone in to Settings, E-mails , clicked on the Reset Password option and it is enabled but I do not know why it is not working.
  Can you please help?

  If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, on the right hand side it says My account, where customers log in.

  Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function

  Check with your host on this to be sure you can send mail from your website. Your site isn’t hosted on these servers, so we won’t be able to help, unfortunately.

  You need help for a WordPress powered site, not a site hosted at WordPress.com. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.
