Customisation: Gallery and Quiz Help
-
Hi guys,
I’ve done research but can’t find what I’m looking for. I hope you folks can help.
1. I want to set up galleries like this one: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/gallery/child-actors-then-and-now-k3g-kuch-kuch-hota-hai-black/1/18944.html#photo1
Basically, you click to scroll to the next picture and there is some text next to or under it. HOWEVER, the default wordpress.com gallery doesn’t work for me as you can’t customise the font, text size, formatting of the text, the arrow/scroll buttons and so on.
2. I would like to create a kind of questionnaire where you answer questions, it takes you automatically to the next question after each answer, and then it gives you some kind of result with a picture asf. Like this one: https://www.politicalcompass.org/test
I hope you can help!
Bryan

That is not possible on WordPress.com. To do that you’ll need to use whatever gallery plugin that site is using on a self-hosted WordPress.org installation.

Also not possible on WordPress.com. On a self-hosted site you can do this using a quiz plugin. The closest you can get here is to add a PollDaddy poll, or to use the Quiz Shortcode on multiple pages, manually linking one page to the next:

Hi there, kokkieh,
Thank you for your help. Very disappointing, and a bit surprising, that wordpress.com can’t do those things with any plug-in whatsoever. Thank you for your workaround, but that probably won’t be suitable.
With point one, I’ll pronably just put each “slide” as a separate page and link the pages together, see how that works.
Thank you for your time,
Bryan :-)

Perhaps using pagination will help with both of these issues:

justjennifer: THANK YOOOOOOOU!!! That is *exactly* the kind of fix I was looking for. Not 100% perfect, but very good, functional, easy, and aesthetically-pleasing. Thank you so much.
Here’s an old post I just edited to include this pagination.
:-D
