customise opti

I see “108” in the blog subscriptions widget, which is below the facebook likebox widget, where I see it reading, “Join 108 other followers”. Your facebook like box is showing 94 likes to the right of the like button.

I’m playing with the Opti custom colors right now and will report back shortly.

Thank you sacredpath :) it is actually a funny coincidence that there is 108 followers as well. But I meant the FB button at the bottom of the text that people click when they like individual text and want to publish it on their FB wall :D I meant this text http://bezego.com/2013/10/04/pochwala-lenistwa-czyli-spiskowa-teoria-kultury-zachodu/ :) And I have also printed the screen as “FB button”. You can see 10, even though in google chorme it shows 108, and as I said – yesterday there was 99, so 8 got chopped off :(

I am eagerly awaiting the results of your playing with Opti :)

I’m seeing the FB and Twitter numbers just fine in Firefox and Chrome, but not in Safari. In Safari, there is part of the code that is not loading, but no sign of related errors. In Firefox, try clearing the browser cache and then take another look. I’m on Firefox 24.0 on Mac. It looks like you are on Firefox 23, is that correct?

wow! I wrote a response a month ago and just peeped in to make sure there is no answer. strange :S

Thank you! I have firefox 25 – at least this is what it says when I click firefox info. I cleared cache but it did not help. Is there any other way, perhaps?

Also my colors still do not work. I would really like to change them. :)

Thank you for your help :)

I am not sure whether it is related, but firefox also does not show the no of FB followers. I do not care about it, though, so do not worry – I just thought that perhaps it is useful info for you when fixing this individual text likes no…?

I checked http://bezego.com/2013/10/04/pochwala-lenistwa-czyli-spiskowa-teoria-kultury-zachodu/ and here is what I see for the FB followers for the one just below the post using Firefox 25.0.1 on a Mac: https://cloudup.com/cvilf7kKAOq

If you’re still having trouble with that, could you try the following troubleshooting steps first and let me know if these steps help?

    1. First, is that the right FB thing to look at? There are a few different ones on the page.

    2. Upgrade to the latest stable version of Firefox, see http://browsehappy.com/ (sounds like perhaps you already have the latest version installed, could you verify?)

    3. Make sure you’re looking at a normal zoom level. Go to View > Zoom > Reset.

Thanks for the detailed review about the colors that you posted earlier!

    (1) the color of dropdown menu (ZROZUM SWOJE EMOCJE) changes from light grey shade into dark unreadable.
    (2) the color of grey background of the featured post as well as background of widget titles and submenu goes darker (I tried to change the color of featured post background back to the default, but then the font-size changes (o_0) as well);
    (4) the color of the text that I cannot access in the “follow” widget in the footer also changes into black.

I’ve filed a request to see if someone can look into these for you and possibly update the theme’s color rules.

    (3) the underline of links goes poof :)

I tested this in my own blog and it doesn’t happen with every palette, so I think it just depends on which palette you chose and the intent of the design is that the underlining might go away with some color choices.

    (5) the blue highlight in the main navigation menu turns into white (regardless of the link color I choose).

I couldn’t reproduce this. Could you try temporarily removing your custom CSS and try again to see if the problem is being caused by CSS you added?

sure. I will do that and let you know. thank you. just one question about fb box (yes. this is the little culprit): i am not sure where “View > Zoom > Reset” is? is it firefox function?

  • Unknown's avatar

Yes. View > Zoom > Reset is a Firefox function. It’s a guess though, I’m not sure if it will help but it’s something to try.

  • Unknown's avatar

thank you – for some reason when I click the orange “firefox” box at the top left corner of the screen View function is not there. Could you advise me on its location?

  • Unknown's avatar

It looks like you’re on Windows and I’m using a Mac, but I still think the menu items should be the same. You should be able to find “View” in the normal Firefox menu items. I researched and found this related support page from Firefox which may help:
    http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/font-size-and-zoom-increase-size-of-web-pages

If you’re still having trouble after that, could you take a screenshot of the problem FB box and share it using an image sharing service such as http://snag.gy/ ?
