Customise page says "nothing written" when i've published 2 pages?

    I’ve published one page publicly, and one page privately for the website I am trying to create. But when i go to “Customise”, it says “You haven’t written anything yet….”.

    Similarly, when I go to the base URL I created when I first started making this site, there is nothing there, there is only something there when I add “/home” (the URL for the specific page I have published).

    I tried to set my “home” page as the static home page, however, the option for customising home, does not come up in my customise menu.

    I want people to be able to type in the base URL and be redirected to my /home page. How can I set that up? When does customise not recognise the page I have published?

    Any help would be amazing!
