Customise your message field not working
-
The ‘customise your message field’ is no longer working with Twitter, even though I edit it, it’s only pulling the title of the post.
I’ve flagged the three last posts affected on my blog with the modlook tag in case it helps.I’m accessing the editor via Safari on an iPad
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The ‘customise your message field’ is no longer working with Twitter, even though I edit it, it’s only pulling the title of the post.
To clarify, you are typing in a custom message before you share to Twitter? Or is it the case you trying to edit or change the text for a post you already shared? I.e on the day you shared it the message was correct, but now you’re trying to change the message, and Twitter is not picking it up?
Thanks for the additional info!

I had typed in the customised message before I scheduled/published the post. I do this for every post and the issue has only just begun happening in the past week or so
For example in this post.. https://bookdout.wordpress.com/2021/04/16/review-autopsy-by-ryan-blumenthal/
I added the following to the customise text field before publishing:
A lively account of unnatural death #Review Autopsy: Life In The Trenches With A Forensic Pathologist In Africa by Ryan Blumenthal published by @JonathanBallPub #nonfiction #Africa #forensicpathology #netgalley #AutopsyBut when it published it only showed Review: Autopsy by Ryan Blumenthal, pulling only the default post title as if I’d left the field blank.

Hi there,
I see that on your latest post titled “It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? #SundayPost #SundaySalon” the customized test is correctly published on Twitter. Have you done anything differently?

Hi
The problem is persisting. I’ve not done anything differently
It’s still just pulling the title -
Hi there,
I did some searching, and it appears there might be an issue with this feature.
I’m assuming when you publish a post, you write your post, write the Twitter custom message, and then click Publish right away, correct?
Can you please check for me if the following helps: Write your post, add the custom message, and then click the Save Draft link first, before you click Publish.
Does the message get included in the tweet then?
