Please see here for the methods that can be used on wordpress.COM blogs .> http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#video-customization-optionsI don’t know what Vtubes is. However you may wish to also read this information > You can post just about any video to your WordPress.com blog using VodPod’s “ Post to WordPress” button. http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/vodpod/

Thanks for your reply timethief.
I have visited those links and they are very useful but I am trying to customise more than they suggest.I don’t have any problem embedding videos.
vtubetools.com is a fairly new website that allows you to customise Youtube videos automatically without messing around with code changes. For example, you can quite simply select various options for your video, e.g. different coloured borders or even put in a custom background before you collect the embed code from them and put it into your blog. It’s all free.
My problem is that it doesn’t seem to work with wordpress.

If the code contains the words OBJECT or EMBED it might be Flash and you could try converting it into a Gigya shortcode:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/gigya-shortcode-3-widgets/If you are unsure how to do this, copy and paste the code here between backticks (refer to the instructions at the bottom of the “leave a reply” area) and we’ll try to help.

Thanks airodyssey, here’s the code:
<object width="853" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3G4SJl3LLc8?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3G4SJl3LLc8?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="853" height="505"></embed></object> -
@themrakhtar
Please post code for the video in question like airodyssey asked. We cannot answer off the top of our heads – we need the code. Please post it between backticks and then we can help you. :)The backtick, not to be confused with the single quote mark, is located in lower case on the same key as the tilde ~ to the immediate left of the number 1 key.

Please see here for the adjustments you will have to make >
Using this shortcode, you can insert any video that provides an embed code (not directly allowed in wp.com). You copy the URL and the dimensions of the video from the embed code, and you transform them into a working shortcode this way: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/07/03/gigya-shortcode-1-videos/

Oops, spoke too soon. It embedded the video but I lost the custom border and border colour. Here’s the short code I put in
[gigya src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3G4SJl3LLc8&autoplay=0&rel=0&fs=1&color1=0x030303&color2=0x030303&border=1&loop=0" width="425" height="344" allowFullScreen="true" wmode="transparent" ] -
I tired this but it still doesn’t work:
[gigya src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3G4SJl3LLc8&autoplay=0&rel=0&fs=1&color1=0x030303&color2=0x030303&border=1&loop=0" width="425" height="344" allowFullScreen="true" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" ] -
Try this one instead. Notice the “flashvars” parameter.
[gigya src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3G4SJl3LLc8" flashvars="autoplay=0&rel=0&fs=1&color1=0x030303&color2=0x030303&border=1&loop=0" width="425" height="344" allowFullScreen="true" wmode="transparent"] -
Thanks airodyssey!! Works just right now.
I did try using ‘flashvars’ but wasn’t sure which bit it should be.

Another problem: Can’t seem to stop related videos showing up. Here’s the full embed code from vtubetools:
<table width="640" height="385" border="5" bordercolor="#000000" BORDERCOLORDARK="black" BORDERCOLORLIGHT ="#000000" align="center" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><tr><td width="658" height="385" align="center" valign="middle" background="" bgcolor="#000000"><table width="260" border="0" align="center"><tr><td width="250" align="center"><span><font size="3" face="Default" color=""></font></span></td></tr></table><object width= "640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NQzGK1MG-Ro&ap=%2526fmt%3D18&autoplay=0&rel=0&fs=1&color1=0x000000&color2=0x000000&border=0&loop=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NQzGK1MG-Ro&ap=%2526fmt%3D18&autoplay=0&rel=0&fs=1&color1=0x000000&color2=0x000000&border=0&loop=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object></tr></table><br />Here’s the gigya code:
[gigya src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NQzGK1MG-Ro&ap=%2526fmt%3D18" flashvars="autoplay=0&rel=0&fs=1&color1=0x000000&color2=0x000000&border=0&loop=0" width="640" height="385" allowFullScreen="true" wmode="transparent"]As you can see rel=0, but still getting related videos.
Also, does anyone know of a way to stop it going to the Youtube site if you click on the video whilst it is playing?
