Customised CSS not saving

  Hi ,
  I am trying to customise CSS to add a portfolio homepage that displays thumbs of embedded videos.

  When I try to add CSS and click save, it does not save and the CSS does not appear where I have entered it. I am finding this a little frustrating, can any one please help?
