Customiser is stuck
-
When I open the customiser for my website it will not load properly. It keeps showing a white screen with a pig-icons. Also the lay-out of one of my pages is all messed up and therefore illegible. Could someone please help me?
The last thing I did was making some changes to the page using a visual composer. -
Hi there,
When I open the customiser for my website it will not load properly.
Have you tried clearing cache and cookies? This often solves problems like this. Also, disable any extensions you have.
If that doesn’t work, could you try editing your website on another browser (also with extensions disabled and after clearing cache and cookies)?
If you’re still having problems, please could you tell us the URL of your site, the browsers you’ve used, and what versions they are?It keeps showing a white screen with a pig-icons.
Please could you share a screenshot of this? If you’re not sure how to, read the support document https://wordpress.com/support/make-a-screenshot/.
Also the lay-out of one of my pages is all messed up and therefore illegible.
Try going to My Site > Site > Pages and editing it there. If it’s still displaying strangely, please could you send the link to that page specifically? We’ll see if we can work out what’s going on.
The last thing I did was making some changes to the page using a visual composer.
What edit did you make? What specific block/plugin did you add, for example?
Thanks!

Clearing the cache/cookies does not work. And if I deactivate the plugins it does work, but as soon as I activate them again I get the same problem.
This is a screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/12uNPjk6
And this is the URL: https://www.hetkunstburo.nl
And this is the page that is messed-up: https://www.hetkunstburo.nl/even-voorstellen/
I changed the text, and added the side-bar. I used the Visual Composer (by visual composer.com). I already used this plugin for all pages before and had no problems then.

Hi @antoinettemts,
That is really odd. I’m personally not sure how to fix that, but thanks for sharing that information as it will be helpful for staff.
It looks like your site is hosted on one.com (https://www.one.com/nl/) but uses the One.com 1-click WordPress plugin, which links your site to WordPress.com? So the issue with the Customiser *could* be something to do with that…
Perhaps read https://help.one.com/hc/nl/articles/360000041498-Problemen-oplossen-met-de-1-click-WordPress-migratie and see if that helps at all?
There’s also something about the Visual Composer, in case that’s any help:
https://help.one.com/hc/nl/articles/115005594025-Wat-is-de-Visual-Composer-plugin-
Although your site uses WordPress, as it’s hosted elsewhere, I don’t know how much WordPress.com staff will be able to help with this problem. I think you might be able to get help by going to https://www.one.com/nl/? They can have a look at it from their end. -

Sorry — just found this — it looks like there is also a support page specifically for the Visual Composer at https://visualcomposer.com/help/. (I couldn’t find a page for that specifically in Dutch so this might be for all languages.)
