Hi there,
Please remove the current custom css you’ve added for the background image on the home page (it contains a syntax error), then try using this:
body.home { background-image: url("https://houseofdarling.files.wordpress.com/2017/07/12555895_170190730022778_2137076652_n2.jpg"); } -

YAY!! IT WORKED THANK YOU!
Is there also a way to move the “powered by wordpress” down a little. It is in the center of the page and remove the words “sidebar” from the side bar area.
It’s not tooo important about the side bar thing but moving wordpress would be nice!!
Thank you, thank you!!

You’re welcome :)

The footer text is in the middle of the page because no content has been added to it.
Do you plan on adding content on the front page? If you do, the footer text will move down once the content has been added
If you don’t plan on adding content, let me know, and I can write up some css to move it.
For the sidebar text, please try using:
.sidebar-toggle-button:after { content: "" !important; } -
You’re like an angel! Thanks i’ll try it now.
No i’m not planning on having any content on the home page.

For the footer text on the home page, please try using this:
.home .site { display: flex; display: -webkit-box; display: -ms-flexbox; -webkit-box-orient: vertical; -webkit-box-direction: normal; -ms-flex-direction: column; flex-direction: column; min-height: 100vh; } .home .site-content { -webkit-box-flex: 1; -ms-flex: 1; flex: 1; } -

Hey Gary,
Just quickly out of interest there is no way of pushing the “powered by wordpress” down a little further is there?
It’s fine if there isnt a way. I’m being a tad padantic. :-)

We can move it down a bit more by removing some padding.
Please try adding this::
.site-footer { padding-bottom: 0; }
