Customising Dynamic Home Page of Ryu Theme

  Hi,
  I am using the Ryu theme. On the home page it is showing every post completely. I want it to only show some portion of each blog with a read more tag.
  How to customise it ?
  Funnily when I search using a term , it displays in that order.
  Also the mobile version shows in exactly the format I want. How do I change it for the desktop version ??
