customising swell theme- artist website design

    Hi,
    I am in the process of fine-tuning my artist website using swell theme. As mobile viewing is the order of the day, I need to customise the website from the mobile screen viewership.

    please help me with the following steps.
    1. Home page – there is a panelat the bottom which is repeating the home text. How do you remove that?

    2. Font Size – I like the default font but i want to change the font size. when you view it on mobile screen, it appears very big.

    3. Slide show for gallery – How can I enhance the impact of the slideshow? On the home page, i would like to have a slide show of images scrolling. It should be impactful. Just now it does not look good and therefore i have removed it. the banner image + home text+ image slide show+ the panel of home text repeating looks very cluttered. Pls help me design the home page.

    4. View art page – in the portfolio page, how do you remove the category labels above the thumbnails. Again the font size is too big. It takes up the screen space, before you can get to the thumbnails.

    5. How do i remove the footer – ” Blog at wordpress.com. The swell theme’. As this is a formal website, the viewer does not need that text.
    I look ahead to your support and guidance on the above points. This is very critical for streamlining the website design n viewing across screens.

    thanks a ton.

    I checked https://artofaiyana.wordpress.com/ and I don’t see any repeating text. If you still need help with this one, can you please include a snippet of the text so I know exactly what to look for?

    I checked https://artofaiyana.wordpress.com/ on an iPhone and I see that you have the mobile theme turned on. That is a separate mobile-only theme you can use if you’d like to, and it’s possible to adjust the font size just for that using custom CSS, but before we look into that option, you might consider turning off the mobile theme to see what you think of using the Swell theme’s responsive design instead. To try it, go to Appearance > Mobile in your blog dashboard, select No for the “Enable mobile theme” option, and save changes.

    3. Slide show for gallery – How can I enhance the impact of the slideshow?

    I checked the support page for the Swell theme at https://wordpress.com/themes/swell/support/ and I don’t see an option built in to the theme for a slideshow. It does have an option to use a video in the banner area at the top of the page, is that what you mean, or were you referring to a different kind of slideshow?

    On the home page, i would like to have a slide show of images scrolling. It should be impactful. Just now it does not look good and therefore i have removed it.

    Swell is setup to display a video in the banner area on the the home page. If you can create a slideshow of images scrolling and save it into a video format, then you could use the banner area to display it. I think for it to look good, you would just make sure that the video you create is high quality and looks good as a first step.

    Do you mean the text that starts with “all” and “abstract calligraphy” ? You can hide that by adding the following custom CSS example to your Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:

    .page-template-portfolio-page #filter-nav {
    	display: none;
    }

    WordPress.com requires that you keep the footer credits visible and readable. You can make the text a little bit darker so it blends in a little more as a workaround. To do that, add this to your Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:

    #footer .right,
    #footer .right a {
    	color: #444;
    }
