customising theme will not work

I try to customise the theme but the page does not load properly. It says ‘loading design tools’ but it does not load at all. I have tried the technical things relating to cookies.

May I clarify whether or not you have purchased a custom design upgrade for the blog in question?

No – I have not purchased anything. You will be able to see on my blog that the comes up as ‘page not found’ – because I cannot customise the theme – I cannot use the ‘navigation’ to correct this.

It looks like you have set your blog to open on a static page, and have deleted that page. Change where your blog opens on the Dashboard under Settings->Reading.

Hi there – the theme Widely doesn’t currently work with a static homepage, so that’s causing issues on your site. I hope you don’t mind, but I’ve gone ahead and set your front page to display your latest posts so you can see what it looks like.
Our developers are currently looking at fixing Widely so that it works OK with a static homepage, like most other themes – we’re sorry for any inconvenience.
