customising twenty eleven

  I want to use theme twenty eleven. but it only displays the right hand bar on the posts page. i want that to display on every page. can that be done?

  It’s not possible to make that customization with Twenty Eleven in particular. It looks like you’ve already found a good substitute in Twenty Ten – does that work for you?

  Thanks. 2010 doesn’t really hit the spot for this particular project, although I like it for others. THis one has better imagery, so I wanted to make the most of that with a larger imgage banner. Am using Yoko at the moment, which mostly seems to do what I want. Are there others that you think would help?

  We have over 200 themes to choose from in the theme directory, but it all depends what best fits the needs of the site and its visitors. What kind of site is this and what kind of audience do you expect?

  I know there’s a lot of themes… been going through them! :-)

  It’s the look and feel that matters. We need modern, clean, crisp, with a large image at the top, and a right hand nav bar….

  Superhero just came out recently and might fit your requirements:

  Have you tried searching the theme directory by filtering? You can filter by Style and check off some of the keywords, like modern or clean, as you can see here:

  Might help to narrow down the choices.

  Thanks. Superhero is nice, but maybe too big on the image. Fussy aren’t I?

  I have done the search thing, which is how I found Yoko. At the moment that matches best, but (pernickety this) you don’t seem to be able to put the nav bar below the image…

  Really appreciate all the help btw. You’ve been great. Think I just need to find the best compromise.
