  I am new to this blogging site and I am not too familiar with it.

  I have chosen a theme for my blog but I cannot seem to be able to customize the theme. Such as fonts, colors, size, etc. Is this because the themes are NOT able to be customized or am I not looking in the right place on my dashboard?

  In contrast to Blogspot, in a wordpress.com blog you cannot customize the themes (unless you buy the CSS upgrade). In some of them you can upload your own header image, and in very few of them you can select the general color scheme.

  You can change font color and size in individual posts; you can also change the background color or image in individual posts, with html. You must edit the text color, size, and background for each post. But the theme’s background colors and arrangement/format stays the same without CSS.

  I’ve not figured out if the color of links can be changed with html.

  I have Digg 3 Column.
  This is one I tried, though I didn’t really save any in posts because they didn’t work. There was some logic to what I tried here:

  Thank you ever so much! I’ve got it figured out. I even figured out how to make the underline match the link color (or even do away with the underline!).
  Using the “link button” and adding targets and titles, before messing with the colors, was making me confused—too much code to read without understanding what I was looking at.

  Not only the order you write, but the order you do things, is important.
