Customizable sections not working! Help?

Great theme but I have a couple discrepancies with it that I seem to not be able to fix. With the scrolling front page there should be customizable sections. However when I use this theme the sections do not show up (although I have them unhidden), when I try to add a background image to them it will disappear once I save, and it will not show a footer link text.

Hi tildaloo, to display the theme’s front page sections, you’ll need to assign your hompage to the Front Page template, through the dropdown menu in the Page Attributes box:

Please Help! I recently changed to this theme and I literally can’t customise anything in the theme, I’ve clicked/tried everything! I want it to have the rolling scroll kinda effect in the demo but no matter what I try it stays like this: https://anotherlifeinlondon.wordpress.com
on my old theme the featured image would be full width with an excerpt of the text and all the other pictures in a post wouldn’t be visible on the homepage…how do I get that kind of effect! -
I also don’t really understand the format of the theme in terms of ‘pages’ as opposed to ‘posts’, any help?

Your blog is a collection of posts. They have dates, you can add tags and categories to them, and they’re displayed in reverse chronological order, with the newest first. Pages are meant for more “static” information, such as an About page, a Contact or Services page. You can learn more here about posts and pages.

It looks like you’ve switched themes a number of times, so to be able to help you, please start a new thread and let me know:
– what theme you need help with at the moment
– what “previous” theme you’re referring to.This thread is about Harmonic and you’re currently running Radcliffe, but I’m not sure if those are the two themes you’re referring to.
When you say “I literally can’t customise anything in the theme, I’ve clicked/tried everything” could you let me know what you’re trying to customize and what hasn’t worked?
