I am trying to change the “accent” colors in my page. Every time I try to change a color it puts it as a background color and I do not want that. Help?

I believe you are trying to change color at My Sites > Customise > Colours & Backgrounds. This changes only background color.
Can you please elaborate what you wish to change when you say changing accent colors?

I made a new site called SunVol and I like that the background is white and I love the red on it in the words and in like the little tab on a post and I guess that’s what I’m refering to as an accent color but I don’t know the real term, but I want that red to be orange and I can’t figure out how on earth to do that. The theme is Lovecraft.

I searched on internet for SunVol and came across this site ‘http://sunvol.eu/’. I am not sure if you are talking about this site. But if yes then this is not a WordPress site and we can’t help you with it.

If so, the Lovecraft theme only has the one color setting for background color. To change other colors would require the WordPress.com Premium or Business plan which include Custom Design. It may be that to change the colors you are wanting to change, it would require some custom CSS, but if you decide to upgrade, we can certainly help you with that.
