  Hi there,

  I have just spent a while creating my website and I would like to remove ‘wordpress’ from my site and the name of the theme. I pay for the service and I paid for the theme…. how do I get this removed?

  Also, I would like my own .ico in the browser – as opposed to WordPress….

  The footer credit is required to be displayed according to our terms of service:

  http://en.wordpress.com/tos/

  Note that even sites hosted through our VIP program, such as the TED blog, display a credit to WordPress.com in the footer. (See the bottom of http://blog.ted.com/ for an example)

  Regarding the .ico, here at WordPress.com we call these favicons, Blavatars. Here is information about how you can set yours:
