Customize footer
-
Hi,
I would like to customize the footer area of my site. I am using Ovation theme.
1) How do you display a text link to pages instead of an icon and continue to have the footer be displayed horizontally?
2) How do you change the main color and hover color of the social icons and and text links?
3) The footer menu is also being display on the video header. How can I remove it?
Thanks!

HI
There is a support forum section regarding Ovation theme and the question was already asked there. you can visit the forum and you will find the answer
here: https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ovation.To change the color of social icons you need to add this CSS lines to your CSS customizer:
.social-navigation a { color: red; display: block; line-height: 1; text-decoration: none; }Chose the color you want and add it in the color property.
For the social media in your header, custom Menus provide control over the links that appear in the navigation areas on your site. Ovation supports two menu locations: the Header Menu and Social Links Menu.
You can manage menus by going to Customize → Menus.
For more details please read the setup guide for the Ovation theme here :

Thanks! I was able to get things to the point that I am happy with the way it looks. This is such a nice, clean theme.

On the menu, responsive designed themes, meant to work and display well on mobile devices (tablets and phones), will switch to a touch device friendly menu at some predetermined breakpoint. In the case of Ovation, that breakpoint is 960px in screen/window width. Narrower than that and the theme switches to the touch device menu.
Although we can force the full menu to show at narrower screen/window widths, part of the change is that on the touch device menu, due to limitations on touch devices (they can’t hover like you can on computer), the submenu items are shown below the parent menu items. That is controlled with Javascript and we would not be able to adjust that behavior, so your menu would end up showing all your submenu items on screens narrower than 960px.
