Customize Pagination (NextPage) location

As a free plan user, I am wondering whether I can customize the layout order of Pagenation. When I split a long article by inserting <!--nextpage--> code, the Pagenation is located like this:

    • Article title
    • Main article
    • Advertisement space
    • Rate this (5 stars)
    • Social icons (Press This; Twitter; Facebook; Google+)
    • List of related articles
    • Pagenation (links of Pages 1, 2, 3…)

No readers can recognize there are more pages available if the Pagenation links are far from the main article. Is there any way I can move the Pagenation up on the page without upgrading my payment plan? Or is the order of item display controlled by each theme so that I as a free plan user have no way to customize?

I tried several free themes including Twenty Sixteen, Twenty Seventeen, Shoreditch and Cerauno. All of them display exactly the same order as aforementioned.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

FYI, I got a response from a member of the WordPress Expert community:

WordPress.com’s free plan doesn’t have an option to relocate the pagination. You would have to use custom CSS for this, which is possible on the Premium or Business plans.

Where they’re located does depend on the theme, but I’m not aware of any off hand that are more visible

It would be appreciated if someone could recommend FREE themes that fulfill my purposes – the pagination should be located right below a main article; and my blogs are for opinion journalism-ish articles.

    Thank you,
