Customize Premium Theme While Keeping Site Private

  Hi! I’m hoping to customize my site with theme The Four, and want to make sure it’s all finalized and buttoned-up before it’s visible to the public. However, from what I understand, I need to upgrade in order to start customizing The Four — we planned on upgrading to the Business plan — but once you upgrade, your site is visible to the public (with the option to add in a plugin that says ‘down for maintenance’). Seems like a catch-22…any way to get around this situation?

  Hi @swaldmanyearup, I’d recommend upgrading then adding the plugin. As long as you haven’t promoted your domain yet, no one is likely to see it. In fact, you could upgrade, add the plugin, and only THEN add your custom domain, if you’d like.
