Customize this message box grayed out

  I’m trying to update the text in the ‘Customize the message’ text box that gets sent out to Twitter, Facebook, Google+, etc. There’s is text in it, but I can’t edit it or add to it. It’s grayed out.

  I tried logging out and logging back in, but to no avail.
