I do not use the theme customizer at all. You don’t need to use it either as every function can be performed from the dashboard.
Appearance > Header
Apperance > Background
Appearance > Theme Options (applicable only to some themes)
Settings > Reading (set a static front page)
Site Title and Tagline > Settings > General -

Waiting one minute for help and posting again is unrealistic on this or on any other support forum. However, I did post and answer within that one minute widow.

You can set your front page without the Customizers via Settings -> Reading in your blog’s Dashboard.

Customize tool design no working
Hi sebastiangoldberg! Most of the tools in the Customize section are also still available in the Appearance menu in your blog dashboard for now. However, I would like to help make sure the Customize tool is working properly!
I tested setting a static front page using the Customize tool on my own test blog just now, and it worked for me without any problems. I used Chrome 26 on a Mac for my test. Here are the steps I took:
1. Go to Appearance -> Themes
2. Click the “Customize” button
3. Click the “Front” item
4. Select the “A static page” option
5. Select a page you previously created an published as the “Front page”
6. Click “Save”Does that sound like the same steps you took before when it didn’t work for you?

Does that mean there is a plan to get rid of them and force us to use the theme customizer?
I sure hope not because quite a few bloggers I know bloggers do not like the customizer and have not been using it.

The new tools could definitely be the way of the future for appearance-related settings, but the old ones won’t be going away any time soon.

There’s probably a very small percentage of people who don’t like any change, no matter what it is. And that subset does tend to be vocal about what they don’t like. If their reasons for not liking something new are technical or that things aren’t working as they should be, hopefully they will report any problems and the major issues will get sorted out and worked on. One nice thing about having the two sets of tools available at once is that the tools won’t just get swapped out suddenly. I think it’s a good way to introduce something new and different.
