Customized pieces not showing up on home page.

  I set up a bunch of things in the ‘customize’ section of ‘design’ like a menu, site title, and tagline. But when I view the page, none of that is on there. When I’m viewing pages and click the site title, it takes me to a completely different looking home page, with my most recent post, even though I’ve set the site to have a static home page rather than to show my latest post. How do I make all the views match?
