Customizer keeps dying
-
Trying to set up a new blog with a WordPress.com site — no plugins — and the screen keeps going all white, or all black like a smokey overlay. Multiple themes behaved this way. And Baskerville 2 kept jittering back forth, the boxes on the tagline page kept getting a tad longer and shorter like it was trembling! I’m doing this on iPad 2017, in the browser. I yesterday deleted an older blog. Don’t see how that would effect it. WP has worked fine on my ISP for years. WTH?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
You might want to try clearing your browser’s cache. You can find the instructions to do so here:
Let me know if you need any further support :)

Hi there,
Can you please try creating the site through the official WordPress.com app available for iPad and let us know how it goes?

I cleared the cache, I loaded the app. Same exact stuff. I deleted a blog at the same time that I set up this one. And now I’m not able to find my WordPress address in settings. There’s no box for it. And I saw on a website someone saying the customizer won’t work if the site URL and the wordpress address URL are different. Dunno if that’s part of this.

@zeldaparamount can you confirm which site you’re working on? You wouldn’t have access to change the site/wordpress url for sites hosted here, so I’m wondering if you’re working on your own WordPress.org installation on another server.
If so it could be a plugin conflict or a number of things, maybe the setting you mentioned, but you’ll want to use the correct forums for help:
