Customizing a free theme

  How can I customize the theme? I am having a free basic account

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Only some themes allow customization. Check on the dashboard under Appearance->Theme options.

  Can you please let me know which all themes are customizable as I am searching for this from a long time?

  Almost every theme here has some degree of customizable features. However, there is no master list. You need to search each theme http://wordpress.com/themes/ and determine exactly what features they have to offer because there are no cookie cutter themes here at WordPress.com. Note that you do not need to load the design tools unless you have the Custom Design upgrade, which it appears that you have purchased.

  All of the very same functions can be accessed from your dashboard.
  Appearance > Header
  Appearance > Background
  Appearance > Theme Options (applicable only to some themes)
  Settings > Reading (set a static front page)
  Site Title and Tagline > Settings > General

  You’ll have to use the theme search filter to find them. I only change themes once every three or four years, so I don’t know off the top of my head.
