Customizing 'Continue Reading'

  I am using version 2.9.2 and I would like to customize the continue reading button. When I use the <!–more–> button I obtain Continue reading. When I go and check post-template.php I find the following code:

  function get_the_content($more_link_text = null, $stripteaser = 0) {
  global $id, $post, $more, $page, $pages, $multipage, $preview, $pagenow;

  if ( null === $more_link_text )
  $more_link_text = __( ‘(more…)’ );

  I am confused I should have found: Continue reading. Where can I find the Continue reading which is linked to the <!–more–> button?

  Just use:

  <!–more But wait, there’s more!… –>

  to override the default text (with what ever text you like).

  May I please ask a d favor of you? Please do not post wordpress.org answers into threads like this one.

  All the regular Volunteers here at wordpress.COM do have the answers as we all have wordpress.ORG installs but if we provide them then two things happen.
  (1) Those who do get an answer here return here for support rather than posting to http://wordpress.org/support

  (2). WordPress.com bloggers reading the threads become confused by the answers that are posted that are for wordpress.org when they aren’t the same as the answers that apply to wordpress.com.

  I understand, and I wouldn’t have posted any post-template.php customizing advice.

  But this simple “Confinue reading”-text change applies to wordpress.com blogs also, which is why I posted the solution.
