Customizing emails subscribers receive

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, I’d like to know how to customize the emails my email subscribers receive when I upload a new post. Instead of showing the entire post, I’d like it to only show a summary since otherwise they have no need to check the actual blog post when they can just read it on their mail.
    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

You can do that by using the more tag in your posts. This way only the part before the tag will be sent out to your email subscribers.

Here’s how to set it up:

Thank you so much! I also have a question regarding the Gutenberg editor. How do I add different links (to another page) to the each photo in a gallery on a post? Or is it a work in progress feature?

  • Hi there,

It is not possible to hyperlink individual images in a gallery. This has never been possible, so is not related to the new editor. In fact, I’m quietly hopeful this is something the new editor might make possible at some point :)

The only way to link individual images in a gallery is to add the links to the image captions. HTML works there, so you can add an HTML link to hyperlink the caption text, rather than just pasting a naked link in the caption.
