customizing footer

  This is a support forum only for those with blogs that are free hosted by wordpress.com. Here, provided one has a wp.com blog and is conversant with css one can purchase a css customization upgrade and do the work required.

  The blog linked to your username is not a wordpress.com blog. That means this does not apply to you.

  WordPress.com and wordpress.org operate on different software. If you have downloaded software from wordpress.org the correct forum for you to ask questions in is here http://wordpress.org/support

  If it’s still not working, try it without a space before “:before”.

  I have tried to get this to work on my blog and nothing shows. Any other hints?

  Finally – I managed to figure out the proper formatting in order to get the footer code in my blog! Thanks to this post I used the following code:

  #footer p:after {
  	content:" ~ Styled by Vivian J. Paige";
  }

  Hopefully that will help somebody else.
