Customizing Freshy Background Color

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello, I’ve looked at all the blog posts about this but have yet to find one that has helped.

    I need to change the gray background of the Freshy theme to black to match my home site (lightgivesheat.org).

    I’ve tried a few things with the CSS, but the only thing I’ve managed to do is turn the footer to black. no good.
    I haven’t solidified anything i’ve tried so the code is all still standard, I’ve only tried it in preview. I’ve tried messing with the CSS in Firebug, but I’ve still come up short.

    I would really appreciate any help! Thanks!

    The url for my blog is lghblog.wordpress.com

    you would replace this,

    #page {
    	text-align:center;
    	background:url(images/page_bg.gif) center #7F7F7F repeat-y;
    	border-right:1px solid #7F7F7F;
    }

    with this,

    #page {
    	text-align:center;
    	background:black;
    	border-right:1px solid #7F7F7F;
    }

    Thanks! That’s certainly much closer than I’ve gotten so far.

    Unfortunately, when I do that it also cuts a big black hole out of the bottom left side of the blog as well as a thin black line on the bottom.

    Thanks again for your help.
