Customizing menus and pages
-
Hi,
I am trying to make it so my blog posts and poetry posts are separate pages but I also want them to come up as title names and not full posts. (I don’t want the preview paragraph in the header) Is there a way to do this? I am also trying to have the names of the posts pop up in the menu in the header (without preview/paragraph). Is this possible to do without upgrading?
What is the difference between a menu and a page? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @stephie167,
I’m not sure I understand what you mean by this:

Right now, your homepage displays all your recent blog posts and shows just the title and the excerpt of each. Do you mean that you would only like to show the title of each post? If so, you will want to add the More Block right before the content on each post, which will make the Continue Reading button appear right after the title.
This will only be true for the blog page though. If you want to divide blog posts and poetry posts, you will want to create two independent pages and try either this block:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/blog-posts-block/
or:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/latest-posts-block/
@doctarchana, you will need to add the page to your menu manually:https://wordpress.com/support/menus/
