Customizing my blog page which appears under showcase twenty-eleven

  I am using twenty-eleven child theme. My home page is not my blog page. I wanted my blog page to be on another page by clicking on the menu. I created a page called Blog. The only way I could get my blog posts to show up on my “blog page” was to change the page under quick edit to use the showcase template. The problem I am having is that the posts that are showing start in the middle of the page. As if there is room on the left for something. I do not want my widgets to show on this page (they are set up to be on the right anyway on my home page), just the blog posts. Does anyone know how to edit so that text (posts) are moved over towards a left margin?
