customizing my default menu

  I wanted to remove a top listing widget: ‘Posts’, from my menu. I highlighted it ( I thought with the pencil icon) only one box mind you, and the whole menu started to delete. What I have left is somewhat scrambled.
  Can I recover what I was working on or do I have to build a whole new menu???

  Re: blown-out menu? Any suggestions? Seems to me like I will have to create a whole new menu — am using 2015 template. Thanks.
