Customizing "older/newer post" links on Chunk theme

  I used this code, found on a different forum page, to customize the “older/newer post” links on my page:

  .nav-previous a, .nav-next a {
visibility: hidden;
}

  .nav-previous a:before {
  content: "« Previous";
  visibility: visible !important;
  }

  .nav-previous a:after {
  content: "Next »";
  visibility: visible !important;
  }

  For my site it comes up as one link that serves as a ‘next’ link, not as two separate links – next and previous.

  I am using the Chunk theme:

  Click on “west side” and scroll down to see what I mean.

  Is there something I can add/change to the code that will solve this problem?

  This http://wearelocalvancouver.wordpress.com/category/west-side/ is a dynamic Categories page created by the software and we cannot edit templates ot themes and change the way dynamic pages (Categories, Tags, Archives) display.

  That CSS may have worked before, but it appears your theme has been updated to infinite scrolling and now there is a “Load more posts” link. Do you still need help?

  Yes, I’d love some help!

  On the main page it does have a “load more posts” link.
  And if you click on any of the menu links it has “← Older posts Newer posts →” links.

  Ideally I would like to remove the infinite scroll and have the whole site to have something like: “← more back→”.

  Possible?

  Read through this post by timethief and there is a procedure in there for shutting down infinite scrolling.

  Can I ask how you set up your menus so that your main headers i.e. WEST SIDE allows the viewer to hover over the link and open up the list of the sub-menus within?

  I am working on a Chunk based blog at the moment and haven’t quite worked out how to do this.

  @beyondthelastman:
  The regular top menu of the theme automatically displays links to all your published pages. If all your menu items are links to static pages, then dropdowns are created by turning pages into child pages (by selecting the right parent for them in the Page Attributes module of the page editor).

  If you want different links as well, then you need a custom menu. Details here:

  Thanks. I did have parent and child pages already flagged, but sorted out this by dragging the child ones into the active list of menus under the parent on the Appearance / Menu page

  I hadn’t realised before you could nest from there.
