customizing page

Other than the basic template, I am not seeing changes on my website. When I or my assistant make changes on the dashboard they do not show up on the website.

The only themes we can use are those found here > Appearance > Themes
This is a multiuser blogging platform. All blogs wearing the same theme are using the same underlying template and we cannot access the underlying files and edit templates or themes.

It does not allow you to remove footer links to the theme designer or to WordPress.com. The thing is, it is the changes on/through the dashboard that are not uploading.

I have been here for 6 1/2 years and I know how to blog on this software. Sadly, you aren’t providing enough detail so I can provide helpful answers.

I am so sorry if my lack of even knowing what is going on is frustrating… and I am super grateful for your help!!
I just started today trying to configure my page, chose a theme that did not require an upgrade (girl in green), and have started to enter content on the dashboard. I can see the things on the dashboard, but when I hit “view” I get the following error message: “invalid activation key.”
So, none of what is entered on my dashboard is showing up on my page.
Does this clarify?

Aha! This has nothing to do with what you are doing. There’s a wide-spread technical “invalid activation key” issue evidenced by the multiple active threads on the front page of this forum all reporting the same issue. All have been flagged for Staff attention. I suggest takeing a break for a few housrs and returning. Hopefully, Staff will have fixed this by then.
