Customizing pages

  I need to know if there are any kinds of things I can do to customize pages in WordPress.com… Can I add color blocks? Multiple text boxes? It doesnt look like it but it is SO hard to search for answers with everything leading me to wordpress.org forums and tutorials

  Some customizations of wordpress.COM sites can be done free of charge and some cannot. https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/

  We wordpress.com bloggers do not have access to the template files underlying our themes on wordpress.COM hosted blogs and cannot edit them. This is a multiuser blogging platform. All blogs wearing the same theme use the same underlying template found on the live demo site for each theme.

  Does Customize let me edit HTML?
  No. Customize allows you to edit fonts, colors, and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup or PHP code. If you require this functionality, please consider moving your blog to a web host that supports theme code modifications.
