Customizing purevision theme
-
I’m supporting a non profit organization looking to build a similar church website as rlcconline.com. The problem we have is creating the message page with sermon series page just like
http://www.rlcconline.com/messages/
And when you select a tile or a slide you get all the sermons in the series like the link below.
Can someone please help – how Is this site created? Using a plugin? Table?

thanks

Hi there,
I checked the site http://www.rlcconline.com/
And it is created using a self hosted version of WordPress (meaning WordPress.ORG not WordPress.COM).
More info on WP.com vs WP.org here –
https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/You can create such a site on WordPress.COM if you find a suitable themes from the list of themes here –

I see the messages page is just like a blog posts page here on WordPress.COM. So you can try creating a static page and a separate blog posts page (messages page) –

http://www.rlcconline.com/more-of-less/That’s a list formatted to look like a table. You could do something similar here on WordPress.com with some HTML & CSS.
http://www.rlcconline.com/messages/ – this is also just HTML & CSS.
Once you clarify if you’re looking to build a site here on WordPress.com, let us know. Both the above formats could be created with any theme here, by adding HTML & CSS. With the Premium plan you’d be able to add custom CSS to give yourself more flexibility with laying things out.

Tks Kathyrn.
We are self-hosting and looking for a plugin to do that table or an easier way to create that page. Do you know any plugins that can do it? -
These forums are for sites hosted on WordPress.com, but you’re running the WordPress software on your own hosting. If you need further help with your self-hosted aite, feel free to post in the WordPress.org forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/
You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:
https://wordpress.org/support/register.php
You can also search the repo for plugins:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/
Keep in mind that tables are meant for tabular data, not layout, and that you should make sure any table or columnar layout is responsive so it can be read on a mobile device. This can be achieved with CSS.
Good luck!
