Customizing the Spun theme
-
I am trying to determine if I can make certain adjustments to the Spun theme (with the free plan):
1- How do you select a “featured image” and NOT have it display on the post page? I want to control the crop of the featured image on the front page, but then show the full image on the post page.
2- Is there a way to eliminate the small emoticon smiley face at the bottom of the page?
3- Is there a way to eliminate the menu altogether at the top of the page?
4- Is it possible to modify what is listed in the “posted by” text, aside from the author’s name? I only want to display date and author (remove tags and post format and word “EDIT”).
5- When you have a text-only post and the title is displayed as the featured image, is it possible to change the background color of the featured image?
6- Can you modify the font color of a title?
7- Is there any way to remove the small print at the bottom of each page: “Create a free website or blog at wordpress.com. | The Spun Theme.”If you have any insight on Spun customization, I’d appreciate hearing from you. Thank you for your kind attention!

You use the theme as designed free of charge. If you expect to do this and that that other and in any way change the way the theme is designed to function you cannot do that at WordPress.COM.
2. Read this and you will know why you cannot delete the teeny tiny itsy bitsy smiley face that is unlikely to be noticed by your visitors.
