customizing website
-
First of all, I want to say that WP has made it extremely difficult to reach out to the team for help. The forums are not helpful and if the phone is not an option, the least they could do is make chat accessible.
Anyway, I hope you can guide me in solving this issue.
http://whyjesusistheway.com This is my website.
There is a section ‘what is the mark of the beast’? I want to remove that section, widget or whatever it’s called. How do I do that? I’ve tried customizing every option in the background and unable to remove that bar. Please advice. -
Hi there,
WordPress is free, open source software, made by a community of unpaid volunteers who work on it in their free time. So there is no company to run a call center or employ support staff to provide chat support. Support is provided by the same community of unpaid volunteers who make the software in the forums on WordPress.org:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
That is the best place for you to get help with your site, http://whyjesusistheway.com/, because that is the software your site is built with. Alternatively you might need to contact support for the specific theme you’re using, in case the content you want to remove is added inside a special content area that’s unique to your theme.
Your site is using a theme called Blover, and you can find support for that theme here:
https://wordpress.org/support/theme/blover
The forum you’re posting in now is for WordPress.com, one of hundreds of hosting providers that offer hosting for the free WordPress software. We’re a for-profit company, and do provide live chat support, but only for paid users of sites hosted on our servers. Free users of sites hosted with us get help in these support forums.
But your site is not hosted on our servers, so we have no control over or access to it, and we’re not able to help you with this here.
