Cut and pasting Word documents to the site

  Used to be this was a simple matter just copy the word doc and past to the site. Now it doesn’t seem to work that way. (Chalk it up to progress??) If I upgrade will I get the ability to work with word documents again???

  Hello there,

  Generally speaking it’s never been recommended to copy and paste from a Word Doc into WordPress, mainly because of the unwanted formatting that can appear.

  That said, it’s still possible. What seems to be happening when copying and pasting?

  You may wish to paste into a classic block https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/ which might have more favourable results.
