Cut off RSS feed
-
What causes posts to be taken off the RSS feed? If it is too many updates what is too many? And how is a blog reinstated?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Lenarae60. You can adjust your RSS feed settings here:
beyegladblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php.
You can set the number of posts to include and whether or not to include full text or summaries.
Here’s a link to more info about the Reading Settings.

Thank you but I don’t think that is my question. RSS feed may be the wrong wording. (?) I want to know what causes a blog to be taken off the reader feed and to get a message like this, “This blogger hasn’t written anything lately”. I will not get angry to know the true. In fact, if I know my limits this will help me as I get obsessed with being a perfectionist. Does being blocked from other readers happen because of too many updates? And if so, what is the limit? 10, 15, 20 updates?

If I understand correctly, you want to know why a post would stop showing in the WordPress Reader?
Posts show in the reader for 60 days and must not contain more than 15 tags or categories. Updating your blog or website too often is not usually an issue.
You can read more about why posts may not show up here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts
Also, if this is in regards to a specific post, please reply with the URL to the post/blog.

It’s not been 60 days. I don’t have more than 3 tags and only 1 category. I’ll check into the links you suggested. I’m glad you’re staying with me as I was planning to give up before I began. I’ve been at this for about 3 days and planning my blog’s demise. I’ll be away from the computer for a couple days but I will get back with you. Promise. Thanks!

See here for posts that appear in your site feed https://beyegladblog.wordpress.com/feed/
You can control your own WordPress.com blog’s feed settings via some options contained within Settings -> Reading. These options/settings are explained here. http://support.wordpress.com/settings/reading-settings/

I’ve checked and read the information you suggested above and couldn’t see any reason why theese posts went missing. They were on the reader feed for awhile then disappeared.

Are you sure those posts are not in your Trash?
See restoring from Trash please. Note that when 30 days has not expired since the deletion and the content has not been permanently deleted restoring from trash is possible http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash
Is it possible that you edited the posts and changed their titles?
I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Also subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting. @lenarae60, we’ve found and fixed this issue for you. We couldn’t see what caused it, though, so if you remember what happened just before this started, let us know!

Also, for what it’s worth, @timethief, the posts weren’t in the trash. They were on her site. We aren’t sure why the feed stopped picking them up, but we were able to correct it.

This definitely was an odd issue, but I’m happy we were able to sort it out. Cheers, all!
