Also, because I want to, I’m going to blame Coraline for making HTML disappear on posts. I keep editing the same damn post and text, update, then in a couple minutes the HTML is gone and the post needs re-editing. Look, I know that new tech things are often buggy, that’s not how it should be but how the world works. But rolling out a new theme, automatically stealth replacing users themes with the new one, and then not spending every frigging minute fixing the bugs that have been so generously forced on users is really, really poor management in every conceivable way.

Finally got Tweeter, widgets and links back. I’ll be open-minded about Coraline, but I dread having to find the time to figure out how to deal with all the pictures that have randomly changed size and position.
Really want to piss off a writer? Reduce the images of the covers of her books, on her own blog, to microscopic size.

I do not use tags, instead my blog have a huge “categories” feature where we can find all the posts, now is gone and I do not know what to do. Is WordPress going to get it back into place?

All of my widgets disappeared. I checked the Inactive widgets and they are all there, but bringing them back up to my widgets sidebar does nothing to my blog page. Please fix this immediately because I care about my site appearance.

Do not like this kind of “surprise”. My blog is a mess. I deleted the tagline and now the name of my blog doesn’t appear anymore either (I didn’t delete the blog name). My widgets are missing. don’t like this. Would it have killed wordpress to have sent an email to all of us using cutline ahead of time, giving us an option to pick a new theme and avoiding all these problems.
Not happy.

What’s driving me nuts is I can’t edit the tagline you added, about Just another WordPress blog – Is there a way to change this?? Please advise ASAP, I’m having readers complain.

Would appreciate some help. The header on our site turned to yellow rather than a parchment color. It reappeared and is unsightly. Today, our articles are now blocked and surrounded by a yellow box.
I believe another admin tried to change the header back, to no avail. When she was doing that did she click on something that put our articles into a background of yellow?
Instead of looking crisp and pretty, our site appears so non-professional and tacky. We haven’t had time to see how older articles were affected with this change. I am afraid to look.

We just found that if a post is made sticky then the article is put into a yellow bordered box. So that solves that problem.
Header still is not fixed.
Next, when updating an article. then clicking on Update, the following error appears.

Shame on you WordPress! You butchered my blog without my permission. You have altered my blog’s look & feel and that is VERY dissapointing.
Coraline DOES NOT represent in anyway an improvement to Cutline. Come on guys, we are more intelligent than your PR bull….
If you had an unresolved licencing issue with the theme, you should have not offer Cutline as a template in the first place….What guarrantees do we have that Coraline or any other of your themes will not be wipped off in the future???I am glad that for the purpose of editing a blog, WordPress is not the only option….
Shame on you WordPress!

If you are still missing widgets, please let us know by posting a new reply here.
We’re doing a backup of all the widgets for the sites that were switched to Coraline, but it’s a very slow process unfortunately. If you post here we can check your site faster and get your widgets back sooner rather than later.

@artandhistory Are you still seeing tiny images? If so, could you paste in a link to one of the affected posts?
@cjaronu It looks like you are up to speed again. I see the categories widget in your sidebar.
@rileyhamilton Could you check your widgets now? I believe we restored them correctly.

@wolflinda I fixed that for you. :) The tagline live in Settings > General in case you want to add something there down the road.
@bridgetteb For the header, do you have the original image still somewhere? From looking at it, it’s possible it was re-cropped recently, giving it a pixelated appearance. It might be worth trying again to upload the header image. For the other error — that doesn’t look related to Coraline or your theme, so I’m going to send you an email separately so we can get more information from you and track it down.

Hi Lance,
I have lots of widgets missing and I don’t see them all in the inactive widgets section. I had a photo image, text block, archive of all posts, blogroll, tag cloud, and Vodpod videos. My site is chezjulie.wordpress.com.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’m not using Custom CSS. If anyone asks, I vote to put the byline back where it was in Coraline–I really like that look!

@Lance: Thanks, I played around with images and they seem to be popping back to size. Haven’t had time to go through them all — I’ll let you know if I need help.
However, I was intrigued by Tweet Button. Set-up could not be more simple and straight-forward, but, after four tries button still does not appear on posts.

Aloha, please, where did the right column on front page (“Home” now) go on “See Otto’s Blog” .???. All links/entire right column was removed, hidden, deleted, or ….something.

Mahalo, PS- PS- when I click on Menu.. it is a jumbled up mess of verbage on top of other verbage, all down a left hand column of sorts, and unusable. Any suggestions to allveviate this problem?

@artandhistory The Tweet Button only appears on single posts. If you’re not seeing them there (they are appearing on single posts when I looked just now) please let us know.
@seeotto Your sidebar is fixed now. I wasn’t able to see a Menu link anywhere—did you fix that already, or is it still happening?
@vegeyum Taking a look at your site right now. We should be able to restore your widgets correctly.
