Cutting title words in Comments widget

    Is there an easy way (without CSS) to short my blog titles in my Comments widget whenever I respond or someone comments on one of my blog posts? ie. shorten reference blog post in comments widget to first 6 words or so?

    I find that sometimes longer repetitive blog post title, just is unnecessary
