Cyanotype Image Not Overhanging
-
I’d like the images in my articles to overhang text margins. I know this is a feature built into Cyanotype for images over 960px wide, but it does not seem to work for me. Images are automatically set to 1024px width and do not overhang. When I manually change the size in the block editor (for example, changing the size of an image uploaded as 1200×800 back to 1200 width) there appears to be no difference. Can anybody help?

Hi there!
I’m not sure I understand what exactly do you mean, could you share a link to the page/post where you see this issue?

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ll try to be more specific. Take this post for example: Santo Domingo
The bottom three images were uploaded to WordPress with size 6000x4000px. Upon inserting them to post, the block editor tells me the width has become 1024px. Even though the image appears to have automatically been shrunk, it should still trigger the “overhang” feature of Cyanotype a little because it’s wider than 960px.
Yet, viewing the post from my computer, which I assume has a wide enough screen to trigger the overhang feature, the sides of the images remain perfectly aligned with the text margins.
I’m inexperienced with WordPress, web design and coding, so I may be missing something very simple.

In other words, I would like the images to appear bigger on the screen, and from what I’ve read, the overhang feature of Cyanotype theme should facilitate this.

Hm, this might be an issue with the new block editor.
Does it work under a Classic Block instead? https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/
