cyber bullying by subscriber
-
I have recently been harassed by a ‘friend’ on facebook. This person is also subscribed to my blog. Is it possible to block them from the blog as well, or at least to cancel their subscription and/or ensure they can’t comment on the blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you would like to block that user’s IP address from commenting on your blog you can do so using the Comment Blacklist feature.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-blacklist
You also have the option of making your blog private, which would block that user as well as others.

(1) You can delete any blog or comment subscription by clicking on the delete link that appears when you hover over a subscription, or by checking the small box to the left of a subscription and using the bulk actions dropdown to delete multiple subscriptions at once. Go to the Dashboard > Subscriptions page or click on the Manage your subscriptions link in your email to see your subscriptions.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/subscriptions/#unsubscribe(2) IIf you have your blog set up for comment moderation then there’s no need to be concerned at all. No comment can be automatically posted – you have to approve them all.
(3) If you wish you can use the “Comment Blacklist” s feature on the same page > Settings > Discussion page
-
Set your blog so that all comments require moderation (settings > discussion). That way the “friend’s” comments will never hit your blog.
Also, blocking by IP address is not completely effective since they can reboot their modem, or go to a wi-fi hot spot and get around the IP address thing. Also since IP addresses are no longer unique, you could inadvertently be blocking a bunch of other people from your blog.
Add their username and also any email address that they used when commenting on your blog. Again though, they can get around this by using a different username/name and email address when they comment.
Best bet is to set it so that you moderate all comments. Most trolls get tired of leaving comments that never show up. They get bored and go away.

OOPS! I’m so sorry. I made a mistake regarding (1) above. You can’t remove anyone from your subscriber list, those instructions are for your own subscriptions only:( See > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/possible-to-block-or-remove-subsriber?replies=5#post-444363

I had also posted this question on a seperate thread and it looks like you CAN remove a subscriber to your blog (I just did it).
Not sure if this is a new feature, but when you go to your subscriber list (subscribed to your blog, not comment subscriptions) and hover your mouse over the person’s name & email, “remove subscriber” appears. I clicked on the subscriber I wanted to remove and it did work, they are no longer on my subscriber list.
