Cybersquatter got me

    There was an issue with my autorenewal and it looks like an overseas registrar swooped in on the domain :/

    The site you currently see when you navigate to stayluckyboutique.com is not mine and I have no way to log in to wp-admin. When i go to my hosting service or jetpack even they can’t get me in.

    I’m pretty sure the domain is a lost cause, but is there any way to rescue the blog/website and move it to a new address?

    Hi! Sorry to hear that, it’s very frustrating to lose a domain. In theory your files should still be available at your hosting service, as long as your account with them is still active – are they able to give you a download of the files of the site from their server?

    Jetpack has a paid backup service, though generally you would need to already be using that in order to be able to get any kind of backup from it – they have information here:

    Just to note, these are the forums oriented towards websites hosted here on WordPress.com; the community forums over at WordPress.org are likely to be a better resource for queries like these as they are generally folks using the same setup as you – the the WordPress software with a hosting platform:
