I’m working on the theory that this will never be resolved. But from the comments in other portions of the forums there are some behind the scenes things currently occurring that are not moving in a positive direction.
It’s difficult to become a paying member knowing that I may face the same issue.

Don’t give up hope! I know it’s frustrating that the pingbacks aren’t working correctly, but I promise we’re taking a look. It’s just taking longer than expected to resolve.

I’m not sure if you are part of the denial of service attacks from last week or not. There was an issue I experienced Thursday but it seemed to resolve itself.
In my case, it took several people diving through the site’s source code. Hopefully it works out for you.

I was unable to find the Blurred Phnom Penh article though so unfortunately, it looks like we only scored 1/2 so far! I’m not quite sure what happened with that one. Do you have 2-3 others you could pass along that didn’t work correctly?

Hello. I have the same issue mentioned. I really love WordPress and consider myself to be an advanced level user. I’ve been blogging with it since 2005. I’m currently enjoying the Daily Post quite a bit. It kind of irks me that my posts never get picked up as pingbacks. I’ve tested them as pingbacks on other blogs and pingbacks show up. Unf. never on the Daily Post pages. Here are my last three, if you could check them out I’d be so very happy! I know there has to be a solution I am missing.

Hi Damien,
Could you let me know what plugins you have setup on your site? Do you remember installing any new ones before the pingbacks stopped appearing?
Also, could you navigate to Settings -> Discussion and make sure the option “Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article ” is checked?

Thank you Jeremey for taking the time to address this with me. I’ve actually had this issue for over a year and never sought help. I’ve done everything I can think of including deactivating all my plugins. Nothing gets my pingbacks to show up. It makes me woder if I have been blacklisted accidentally by the Daily Post blog?

Oh, almost forgot the other part of your uestion: yes the allow pingbacks option is ticked.
