Daily prompt post

I thought I did the pingback right, I’ve tried it a few times, but my post isn’t showing up on the daily prompt response page
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
I’d be happy to troubleshoot this with you.
So just to confirm a few things, you have your pingbacks turned on in the settings correct?
Go to settings > discussion and enable both “Send Pingbacks” and “Receive Pingbacks”.If that’s the case, make sure that you are pasting the full link in the HTML editor of the post you’re working on. The best way to make sure you are lonking properly is by posting in full HTML code format like so:
as seen in the “Show Instructions” at the top on this prompt from the Daily PostPlease let me know how far you get and if it works for you!
Thanks,

linking properly*
And one more note: the Visual Editor for posts sometimes doesn’t link properly on its own hence my advice to try your linking in the HTML Editor.

I used the editor with the proper link, and in Discussion there is no option for pingbacks
-
Hmm.
So under “Settings > Discussion” there is no option to enable any sort of Pingbacks?
-

Ok,
Weird. I’ve tagged this for Staff, but while we wait, do you mind including a sample of how you’re linking to that post?
Pingbacks are easy! Just copy and paste the code below into the HTML tab of your post editor and you should be all set.
Please note that sometimes it takes a little while for your post to show up in our grid.https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/second-time-around/
Remember to put code that you type here, in quotes or the code will be executed and we won’t be able to see what you’ve typed.
Thanks!

I was wrong, even in quotes it executes the code. I pasted it again here and just took out the first “<“ symbol the starts out the code so you can actually see the example:
a href=”https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/second-time-around/”>Second Time Around
Thanks,

@thinkandthriveblog I think the error may have been on our end in this case. Do you mind editing the post once more to confirm whether it goes though?
And @gregariousbadger, thanks for your help here. I wanted to note you’re welcome to use the ‘code’ option before and after any code – that way we’ll be able to see what you wrote instead of the browser’s interpretation of it.
Cheers!
