Daily prompt question.

I know I know my site is self-hosted. I only have one question and I hope anyone will take the time to read my post before telling me to go to WordPress.org. First, am I allowed to participate in the Daily Prompt? If so, how can I get my pingbacks approved. All pingbacks generated from my site work fine EXCEPT for the Daily Prompt so I am sure it’s not from my end. And if non-Wordpress.com sites cannot participate then you should put a note on your site that we are not welcome, that would be easier for everyone. I have tried everything under the sun to get linked to the Daily Post… nothing has worked.

While the Daily Prompt is primarily for WordPress.com bloggers, we don’t have anything against self-hosted sites joining in, the more the merrier. However, pingbacks, as you noted, are broken. It is something we are aware of and are looking into. But I have no timetable on when it might be fixed.

One thing you can try is to make sure is that the url uses http, not https. Sometimes that helps.
